Pleasant View Road
Pleasant View Road will be reconstructed from Mineral Point Road to US 14 as part of a joint project with the City of Middleton. The proposed project will include reconstruction of the existing roadway as an urban 4-lane arterial with new pavement and gravel as well as the addition of curb and gutter, a raised median, new multi-use path/sidewalk in selected areas, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water main. Other improvements include new retaining walls, street lighting, pavement marking, signing, and storm water detention ponds.
Phase 1 – Old Sauk Road to US Highway 14

City committees will review the project geometry at the following public meetings:
- October 24, 2018 - Transportation Commission - Introduce Project
- November 28, 2018 - Transportation Commission - Approved
- December 12, 2018 - Board of Public Works - Approved
- January 8, 2019 - Common Council
Construction Phase 1: 2023
Construction Phase 2: Earliest 2025
30% Design - Fall 2018
The 30% design for the project is complete. As part of the 30% design, roundabouts were selected by the City of Madison and Middleton at the Elderberry, Blackhawk, Greenway and Quarry intersections with Pleasant View Road. 60% Design - 2019
The 60% design for Phase 1 of the project is complete. The 60% design for Phase 2 is underway and will continue in 2020.
The 90% design for Phase 1 is underway and will continue in 2020 and 2021
Public Information Meeting #2
The project team will schedule a public meeting in 2020 to provide updates on the design and construction schedule.

The City of Madison and Middleton held a public involvement meeting on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Middleton City Hall, 7426 Hubbard Avenue, Middleton, WI from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers. Meeting topics included the preliminary layout of the road, proposed pedestrian and bike facilities, intersection alternatives (signals vs roundabout) and the project schedule.
