Project Update

1/10/2022 Update:

City staff is considering additional design options for Davies St. and Dempsey Rd. based on feedback received from the public at last Thursday’s Public Information Meeting. For this reason, the project will not be presented to the Transportation Commission on Wed. 1/12/2022. In addition, the project will not be presented to the Board of Public Works on 2/2/2022 nor the Common Council on 2/22/2022. Construction will be delayed until further notice. Future updates on new dates and next steps will be posted here once additional information is available.

Project Overview

In 2022, the City plans to reconstruct portions of Davies Street and Dempsey Road.  The proposed project would include replacement of water mains, sanitary sewer mains, sewer laterals to the property line, asphalt pavement, and installation of new storm sewer, curb, gutter, and likely sidewalk.  There are a variety of options that may be possible for how the street is reconstructed, and these options will be discussed at future public informational meetings and City committee meetings.
