10/12/2020 Update: 

The City now has an agreement in place to work with WisDOT on planning for the future Autumn Ridge Path and to assist with design review of the proposed bridge over STH 30.  At this point in time, the City has not budgeted construction of this path within the next five years, but we plan to continue to work on the design so that it can move forward quickly once funds are available.  We anticipate holding another public information meeting on this project during 2020-2021 winter.

Project Overview

The Autumn Ridge Path is a proposed multi-use path that will connect users between Milwaukee Street and Commercial Avenue north of Highway 30. The proposed path will include a bridge overpass of Highway 30.Public information meetings, discussions with City of Madison alder persons and input from various committees and boards will be utilized to determine the overall scope and design of the project.

The City applied for state grant funds to construct this path, but, was not awarded any funds for this project. The City will continue to move forward with the design so construction will be able to proceed once funding is available.

Project Limits 

Milwaukee St. to Ziegler Rd., including a new bridge over STH 30.

Final Design: Spring 2021
Construction: Spring 2023
